Registered Dental Hygienist

Hill City, South Dakota

$47-54 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Our busy dental office in beautiful Hill City is looking for a dependable, organized, and personable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people get their mouths healthy!

This position will be available starting May 2027.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday; 3-4 days per week
Approximately 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Paid 30-minute lunch
No evenings or weekends

Compensation & Benefits

$47-$54 per hour, depending on experience
Paid holidays after one year
Paid vacation after one year
Health insurance (employer pays 50% of the monthly premium) after 60 days
SIMPLE IRA with up to a 3% employer match after one year

Responsibilities

Review patient’s health history and update as necessary
Screen patients for oral diseases and abnormalities
Perform cleanings to remove plaque, calculus and stains
Teach patients good oral hygiene practices and discuss effects of overall health
Assist the dentist during exams
Update the patient chart to include the current conditions and recommendations
Apply fluoride treatments, place sealants
Maintain a clean working environment adhering to OSHA standards and keep a well stocked room
Stay up to date on best hygiene practices and maintain necessary continuing education hours
Provide a welcoming environment for patients
Experience with or willing to learn laser treatments and in office teeth whitening procedures

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is:

Registered/licensed in South Dakota
Friendly, professional, and dependable
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable using computers and learning new software
Able to multitask and stay organized in a busy office
Committed to providing outstanding patient care
